Once you’ve worked hard to acquire a donor, be sure that you have a process in place for delivering on building a special connection.  The matrix in this document is an example of one for an annual campaign.  You may want to establish a similar matrix for a capital campaign or other special project campaigns.  The matrix outlines in a simple form what the donor should receive in order to build the connection.  In the example given, a $2,500 donor would receive every item listed in the left-hand column.  A donor of less than $100 would only receive the first two items (three if a new donor) listed. An excel file  is included in the packet for adapting to your needs.
